Awake In A World Asleep is a novel as much about exposing the faults in the modern world as it is about man’s collective journey of self-discovery. The novel’s unnamed protagonist suffers with OCD and is left morally bankrupt after years of service to the financial world as a FX trader. He struggles to perceive and embrace the progressive world, and ponders how he has spent his life on endless and meaningless rituals. When he buys a strange locket from a corner store, the protagonist begins to dream vividly, and each night he joins a company of men on a journey in a foreign world to uncover and defeat a perilous evil. All the while, the lines between conscious and subconscious realities are blurred, and the newly named Wanderer must embrace more dramatic ideals in order to rediscover himself and the world around him.
